camLine Acquires Conergy as a New Customer
Conergy, a leading solar energy company, has chosen camLine as software supplier for the production control system (PCS) at its new photovoltaic plant in Frankfurt (Oder).
Conergy AG will invest around EUR 250 million in the first construction stage of its fully integrated mass production line for solar wafers, cells and modules, until now unique in the world. The production capacity is designed for more than 250 MW. Over the medium-term more than 1,000 jobs will be created on the site of the former chip factory. With this investment, Conergy will ensure its cost and quality leadership in the world market, and thus create the basis for further dynamic growth in its core business.
The PCS, based on camLine?s product line LineWorks, will carry out the supervision and quality control of the individual production areas. The ID system, newly developed by Conergy, together with camLine?s PCS solution, enables the traceability of the solar modules from end consumer to silicon.
LineWorks iGate offers a uniform reporting system for all areas of the production line. Together with the quality module LineWorks SPACE, the extremely precise analysis of production data is a decisive step towards quality leadership.
