    camLine GmbH launches XperiDesk 5.4

Faster navigation through the experiment data cloud

camLine GmbH, developer of software solutions for manufacturing excellence, is launching XperiDesk (XD) 5.4. By streamlining existing and adding diverse functions, the new release strengthens XD’s leading position amoung Process Development Execution Systems (PDES).

The highlights of XD 5.4 enhancements immediately respond to current demands in the field: The users can use previous search results as selector for semantic relation searches, parameters can now be sorted into (multiple) directories and the manufacturability check evaluates calculated parameters. And last but not least, XD’s backend technology stack has been completely renewed giving it more performance, versatility and maintainability.

With the search result based relation searching, it has become much easier to iteratively sift through the experiment data. As previously the user can search for a set of items fulfilling his/her search criteria. On these results he/she can do a multi-select and based on the selected items start digging through the semantic experiment network. Because of this approach being able to be repeated, the user can easily navigate through the cloud of experiment results. Previously, this was only possible for a single item in the relation graph view. Another improvement is the extended functionality of sorting parameters into directories. This oftentimes requested feature improves the oversight in the previously flat parameter maintenance views and even allows to sort one parameter into multiple directories. This way it is easier to align people searching for a parameter from different perspectives. The manufacturability check has been extended as well. During the check in previous versions of the software, only the already flat numeric parameters were considered. With the extension in version 5.4, even parameters being calculated recursively out of other parameters are considered.

Other improvements are the seamless synchronization of Runs currently in production between the full and the operator client and the more versatile handling of regular expression handling in the MS Excel import client. Finally, it should be mentioned that XD 5.4 comes with various improvements with respect to performance and streamlining the user guidance and multi-organization usage. Throughout, camLine recommends the upgrade to XD 5.4 to existing customers.

    News

Titel: Successful scaling of an R&D team

Successfully scaling up an R&D team is a challenge, the amount of information and data from machines, planned and executed experiments and result analysis increases very rapidly as more people become involved. To efficiently coordinate workflows, and to reduce the time needed to integrate new knowledge into the production chain, it is important to invest in the structured dissemination and automation of results, documentation and core knowledge from an early stage.

    camLine GmbH releases XperiDesk 5.3

    Reaching new R&D efficiency levels

(pressebox) (Petershausen, July 17, 2015) camLine is proud to release XperiDesk (XD) 5.3 that covers another year of customer driven developments. By adding several new efficiency tools and functions, the new release strengthens XD’s leading position in the market of Process Development Execution Systems (PDES). The highlights of XD 5.3 enhancements immediately respond to current demands in the field: The users get a new operator-oriented web-client for mobile devices. With version 5.3, it is possible to define and track rework flows. And last but not least, XD’s integratability into existing environments has been considerably expanded.

The new operator web-client provides a tool-centric view of all Work in Process (WIP). In this way, it substitutes the often still paper-based runcards. Accordingly, the users will be able to make documented last minute changes. Increasing the accuracy and timeliness of all operators’ data recordings, this will overall help the organization to gain agility and to make the right decisions in a shorter period of time. The capability for better and easier XD integration has been improved: Workspaces which are typically embossed by an MS Office environment, are supported more efficiently. The MS Excel import client has been extended to be able to import raw data in CSV format or other text file types. And further features were added: drag & drop documents into or from MS Outlook, export all types of entities into MS PowerPoint, print runcards into MS Excel or MS PowerPoint, and track experiments as seen from a tool-oriented perspective. Finally, it should be mentioned that XD 5.3 comes with various improvements with respect to performance and streamlining the user guidance. Throughout, camLine recommends the upgrade to XD 5.3 to existing customers.

    camLine GmbH releases XperiDesk 5.1

    Connecting Manufacturing with Technology Development

(pressebox) (Petershausen, 02.05.2014) After having successfully acquired XperiDesk IP from Process Relations two months ago, camLine is proud to release now XperiDesk 5.1 version. In contrast to the previous versioning scheme, the new release follows the camLine versioning structure and is therefore labeled 5.1. The 5.1 release incorporates all capabilities of the previous Process Relations version 2013.1 with several new extensions and improvements. Besides the switch to the new application server version JBOSS 7.2, one major extension is the availability of deployments for the Oracle database version 11 onwards. Next to these more infrastructure oriented enhancements, the software received several improvements in the importing modules. In addition to the possibility to have fixed cells in the MS Excel importing, the importing speed has been improved, significantly. Furthermore, the management, lifecycle, and usage of calculation models have been improved. The interfacing to external calculation tools has become more versatile and flexible. Additionally, a new interface to camLine's Cornerstone has been implemented to facilitate easy export and data analysis from every table within XperiDesk.
